How beautiful it is to receive a handmade invitation – knowing that someone took the time to design, decorate and make it with love just for you. I think handwritten notes, cards and invitations are always lovely to keep as special memories of events and celebrations.
I was recently looking through my cards that I had received and I found one from my grandmother (who has passed away). It was such a joy to see it again from so many years ago – to see her handwriting and to read what she wrote to me when I was a child.
In Tessa’s Books Of Elegance I have always included things like handmade invitations, thank you cards, decorated place settings, keepsakes and little creations to give to others that are made with love and given in kindness. In doing this it also gives opportunity for creativity and - a break from screen time!
